Taoist Writings: What is the difference between a truly spiritually awakened person and a person who merely parrots scriptures and sayings of whatever spiritual path they follow?

Definitely the parrot is the difference.

Two starlings were sitting in a birch tree in my garden. Both were quite sparkly with stars in their feathers. I wondered to myself which starling was the true one. Is it the one on the right or the one left?
