Taoist Writings: Rain in a puddle

Full Question:

What are the concepts of Tao, Te, Yin-yang balance, non-dualistic property of attributes, WuWei, and the three treasures of the Universe as explored by Lalzi? Also, what life lessons can we learn from Laozi?"?

Thanks for the questions. A book needs to be written to answer those, but I will try my best to keep it short…

There are no concepts of Tao, and Lao Tzu never existed.

Is that short enough?

Probably too short, right?

So, my little girl was jumping in a puddle yesterday. Could I see the Tao in that puddle? Yes. Could I see Te there? Yes. Yin-Yang balance? No. Nondual blah blah? No. The three treasures? No. Life’s lessons? Maybe.

The “Yes’s” - these are the Tao that is manifest as all things, pure in its nature, its wildness… and then muddied a little by mankind’s confusion. The Te, being the force of creation manifesting as being and non-being. Which one is the puddle? Both. Because they are not-two. Can the three treasures be not-two?

I asked my daughter about yin-yang balance. She jumped and splashed and was laughing.

Is something out of balance here? Can you find something that lacks harmony, or even is in harmony? Because you know, I can’t find a single thing? Not even what’s looking?

And the One asks, “What life lessons can be learned from One?”

Does the One need to learn something? What is there that is not it, that it must learn about?

Can its knowing be bettered? Is there something that One lacks?

Mmmm?

Splish splash. No concepts.

Splish splash. No thoughts.

What remains?

Splish splash.
