Taoist Writings: How can we change our inner and determined mission in spirituality?

Taoist Writings: How can we change our inner and determined mission in spirituality?

Thank you for the question. I suppose I see things a little differently…

In this very moment, we might feel compelled to do or say something. That same feeling compels me to answer this question. It could appear as a grand life mission filled with meaning, or a little step towards a direction we cannot see. And there might be no movement at all.

There is only Being unfolding its Creation in whatever way it does. There need not be a reason for it. Yet, still, it seems to happen.

I see it rather like a pure white light shining, and although we are Being itself, our sense of self and all its apparent patterns, likes, and dislikes are like a prism that changes the light into different colours, and different expressions. Things that we can call ours.

We may wish for particular outcomes and might find a sense of self wanting to manipulate results in its favour. This wanting can masquerade in many ways, such as, the need for personal abundance, the desire for meaning, for success, to be better spiritually, or to reinforce itself in a new light.

And the light keeps on shining.

And doing nothing may also be its unfolding.

Whether we sense a Call that drives us, or we don't hear anything at all, it is all okay. We are not a we being driven anywhere. There is no I with a personal mission. There is only the Single Wholeness of Being appearing as beings.

And whatever we do only changes the expression, the colours, while Being remains unchanged.

And those who appear to have seen through the false self and have Awoken to Reality express the white light as white light, with no self to colour it. And whatever they appear to do will have no self gain at the center of it.

And everything is okay. No will behind it. No need. Just Creation for the helpless joy of creating. Just the watching in awe and wonder at its power and beauty. Agape. And loving.

All the best to you.
