this little cottage is around 200 years old
I look at it sometimes
and feel sorry for it
it needs work here and there
repairs to the chimney
broken glass in the door
windows that need attention
and minor problems with outer walls
though I don’t have the money I don’t fret
I love this little place as it is
idly listening to birdsong while breathing in the sweet
fragrance of wildflowers
I can sit here happily for the rest of my 100 years
