I live by the edge of a forest
a spray of woodland flowers brightens my garden
as a trickling stream passes the boundary pine
I live in a tiny cottage
and some days I don’t see anyone
and some days I don’t leave home
I like this simple life
some people call me a recluse
but isn’t Silence with us whatever
we do
