Tao Poem 33 from Te of Tao: Embracing Life's Quiet Power

33.

Your experience of tranquil sitting,

of the serenity of guarding your internal peace,

the practice of cleansing the temple from all reactions

to the false self,

is to know the purity of consciousness

that flows as creation.

These experiences are what are useful to you.

Any resistance you might have,

is not the Tao holding that in place.

It is yourself.

The Tao flows freely through you and as you,

and is doing so perfectly all the time,

unless you personally resist or change it.
